This was a question I posted on Twitter and + last week, and I received an overwhelmingly massive response. Today, I am going to share with you a list of reasons why rooting our devices is still important. Before we get started, I want to say thank you to everyone who responded to my question on Twitter and +. Also, I want to remind you that if you decide to root your device, make sure to follow the instructions carefully and read all the warnings. Rooting your device can potentially void your warranty and even damage your device, so please proceed with caution. One of the main reasons why we root our devices is to gain access to Exposed. Exposed is a module that allows us to have a custom ROM experience without completely changing the system. It provides a powerful device and enhances the user experience. Another important app that is usually installed right after rooting is Titanium Backup. This application is the best backup and restore app for both applications and application data. You can backup your entire system including text messages, call logs, Wi-Fi settings, and more. Titanium Backup is often the first app I install on a new device. Rooting also allows us to remove bloatware. Some pre-installed applications on our devices cannot be uninstalled without root access. With root, we can use Titanium Backup to remove unwanted applications or move them into a user 4 partition for later uninstallation. Honorable mentions in the list include the ability to install custom ROMs and custom recoveries.
