Welcome to EXO metric number 496. Hey, if you want to download this workbook and follow along, click on my YouTube channel and then click on my college or site link to download the workbook. EXO my trick for 94 to 501. Hey, in this trick, we want to see how to build a basic attendance sheet for a classroom. Let's start off by putting a title at the top. I'm a terrible speller, so I'm sure I'll make lots of mistakes. Let's call it "Attendance". I want a column for names, so I'm going to put in the name of a student and their number. I'll use control-enter to put that in the cell and keep it highlighted. Then, I'll point to the fill handle and click and drag to increment the numbers when there's a worded number. Now, I'm going to highlight a few columns and rows down, maybe two, because our template needs to incorporate more students. I'll go up to the home tab, click on "Borders", and select "All Borders" to format the sheet. Now, I need to add the days. Our starting date for this quarter is 2/1/10, which is a Monday. But I want it to show the word "Monday", so I'll format it. I'll use the keyboard shortcut control 1 to open the format cells options. Then, I'll select the "Date" category and go down to "Custom". I don't want the built-in format, so I'll select "Custom" and choose the format "M" for month, "D" for day, and "Y" for year. When I type the day, it automatically adjusts the number format. I'll press enter to confirm. Next, I want to copy this format to the other days. I'll use the fill handle and drag it all the way to the right. I...
