About hi everybody, welcome back to the channel. Today's video is all about Android P, Android 9.0 Pi. It was announced yesterday that Pi would be the official name for Android 9.0. It is available for all Pixel devices and Pixel 2 devices. Essential is also pushing out the update to their devices. Keep in mind that this is the final version of Android P, released well ahead of the launch of Pixel 3. I'm excited to share with you guys some of the latest updates in this build, including the new Digital Wellbeing application that was announced at I/O but was not part of the beta version. This is TK, let's check it out. Overall, the UI hasn't changed much from the beta releases. However, what we have now is a stable, full version of it. The gestures are very fluid. You can swipe halfway up to access recent applications, or swipe all the way to directly open the app drawer. The animations are smooth. We have the search bar and recommendations present on the home screen. We also have the ability to press and hold on an app to access options like split screen, pin, and app info. If we select the split screen option, we can choose another application to fill up the screen and swipe it away later. If you're wondering how I have my YouTube application in dark mode, I'll provide a link in the description below on how to do this, even on Android P. Other than that, the navigation options and gestures are pretty much the same. Launching the assistant is done in a similar way. On Pixel devices, we can use gestures too.
