Instructions and Help about Who Form 8655 Overview

I in this short video, I'll show you how to do some sound design. Form has just turned out to be one of my favorite synthesizers lately. So, for the setup, what I have here is Ableton Live, which I'll use to record some preliminary material. I've got an instance of Form here, which I'll use to generate the material. I will then manipulate Form and have some of the parameters mapped to a MIDI controller that you can see here. That's pretty much it, actually. Just as an introduction, Form is a synthesizer by Native Instruments, which you can find on their website. I think it costs about $90. It works in Reactor Player, but it also works in a full-featured Reactor. The idea behind it is that you load a wave file into Form. It will analyze the pitch information from that file and then use that pitch information to scan through the wave file and adjust the playback speed, morphing the original wave file. It can scan through it in a variety of complex ways. What I like doing and what I'll show in this tutorial is how to create some input material for Form using presets from Form itself. What I have here is the Form synthesizer with some mapped MIDI controls. This gets recorded by Track 3 here, as you can see. Audio comes from Channel 1. Now, I'm going to load a preset and Form to make it more interesting. Let's try this cool preset. I will arm all my tracks and press record. Alright, that's actually enough. So here we have this waveform. I'm...
