Hey guys, welcome back to XDA. Today, we're going to talk about our app called Ampere. It's an application that allows us to understand the rate at which our device is charging and discharging. Let's check it out. When we think of power, we usually consider where we get it from. We can use portable power banks, regular power chargers, or even USB cables. USB cables are not only used for data transfer but also for charging our devices. Additionally, we have the ability to wirelessly charge our devices. All these devices provide power, but what's important is understanding how that power is consumed. The Ampere app gives us a better understanding of our device's power consumption. It shows information such as the device version, operating system version, model number, voltage, temperature, and overall system health. Currently, my device is not plugged in, and it's discharging. The app shows the discharge rate. When we start charging, the app displays the charging percentage. Now, let's talk a bit about the Ampere app itself. There is no setup required after installation. Once you turn it on, it starts working immediately. It takes about five to ten seconds to measure and provides an average of multiple readings. The app shows the minimum and maximum voltage during the measurement period. When connecting our device to a power source, such as a power bank or charger, the app displays the charging status. It tells us whether it's using an AC charger or a standard charger. The current being pulled indicates the charging speed. By clicking on the battery icon, we can view the battery history.
