You hi darlings, Mummy-ji here with another amazing tutorial as part of the mini G Michael Levine collaboration. Today we are doing an amazing DIY secret maxi skirt which is super easy and just in time for the holiday parties. Let's get started! Let's talk tools. So, you're going to need a ruler, either a clear plastic one like this or a yardstick would be even better if you have one handy. We're also going to be using a curved ruler. Now, this is not absolutely necessary for this tutorial, but it does make doing the hip line a whole lot easier, especially if the difference between your waist and your hip is more than 11 inches. This will make life easier. However, if you don't have one, we can hand draw the curves, so don't worry about it. If interested, I will make sure to have a link in the blog post. You're going to need some paper. Now, you can get this in the mail shipping area of Target where they sell items like petite envelopes and such. It's just a roll of paper that we're going to be drawing our pattern onto. Because we're sewing with sequins, we want to avoid using the machine as much as possible, as it can be harder on your machine. So, instead of sewing the hem of our skirt, we're going to fuse it using double-sided bonding tape, similar to this one. This is heavy duty and will not come off during washing.
