Hello, I'm Dr. Quell. I'm here today to teach you about a breathing technique known as the fire breath. One thing I've noticed with my patients throughout the years is that many of them don't breathe deeply. A lot of people tend to breathe shallowly, only from the chest up. The reason for this is that every time we experience trauma, we tend to breathe into that area of pain. Considering that most of us have experienced multiple traumas, it's no wonder we have become shallow breathers. Unfortunately, this shallow breathing allows carbon dioxide to stay in our lungs, which should be blown off. As a result, we create a toxic condition that is unnecessary. Now, let's talk about how to do the fire breath technique. For men, we will put the right hand over the left, and for women, we will put the left hand over the right (each hand representing the dominant gender). Start by raising your arms up over your head. During this exercise, we will be breathing in and out solely through the nose. So, take a deep breath in, and exhale slowly. Pay attention to the abdominal area as you do this, feeling the breath coming in and out. Keep practicing this rhythm, gradually increasing the speed of your breaths. After about a minute of this, open your arms and press back on them, opening up your chest. Close your eyes and allow your body to rebalance itself. Remember that there are two types of alignments: one created by your mind and another created by your spirit. We want the alignment that your spirit creates because it is more beneficial for us.
