Putting on nail forms is an absolute necessity to doing enhancements. For the beginner, this can be somewhat challenging. I know it can look easy, but there are a few tips and tricks that you need to know to successfully put on nail forms every single time. Let's go to school and talk about nail forms. When you know how to get nail forms on successfully every single time, it becomes much easier. I remember when I was in school and my teacher was trying to teach me how to put on forms. At the time, I was taught to roll the form until I got a natural C curve. Then, I was taught to slide underneath the nail and secure it. However, this technique took too long and was inconsistent. It also didn't work well for clients with extreme C curves or those who didn't have the corners of their nails. What I want to show you is a simplified method. First, we're going to take the form and place the tab underneath for extra support. Then, with our dominant hand, we're going to pinch the front end at an angle to create a nice shape. Next, we'll open the form and aim to get the center of the form flush with the center of the nail, underneath the front. We'll secure the sides of the form and release our hands. The form should be tight and snug underneath the free edge. Not all nails will look the same, so I'll show you another trick for problem nails.
