The online withholding forms in PeopleSoft payroll for North America enable your employees to update their federal and state withholding status online. This process is simple and intuitive, optimizing efficiency, reducing costs, and increasing employee satisfaction. It eliminates the need for printing and mailing paper forms, as well as manual data entry by administrators. In this demonstration, you will see how your employees can make changes to their withholding status using a desktop or laptop. To begin, login to the system and access the payroll tile. The options on the payroll page will be based on the access you have been given. In this example, the employee has access to payroll and tax withholding. Click on the tax withholding menu to view and change your tax withholding options. The tax withholding page displays all the federal and state withholding taxes for the company. In this case, there is only one company. If you are assigned to multiple companies, you can select the company information you want to see based on your tax data setup. On this page, you can see the jurisdictions for federal and state withholding. You can view basic withholding information, such as your tax status, the number of withholding allowances, and any additional amount you have requested to be deducted from your check. Specific information based on your jurisdiction is also shown. For example, if you are in a state without income tax, the tax status will be marked as not applicable. Suppose you have just filed your tax returns and received a large refund. You want to adjust your withholding accordingly.
