Hey guys, welcome back to XDA. Today, I'm going to do a comparison between the recently released Fire Stick from Canada and the reigning champion of casting on our devices, Chromecast. We're going to show you both of them and help you make a decision if you're in the market for such a device. First, I want to make sure you're aware that I have a full review of the actual Fire Stick TV on my own channel. But for today, we're going to do a quick comparison between these two devices to see which one is better. Let's check it out. Both devices are just HDMI sticks with only one plug. They both have FCC markings on the back. The Fire TV Stick is very similar to the original Fire TV in terms of interface. The remote is slightly shorter and doesn't have a built-in microphone like the original Fire TV. However, there is an app called "Fire TV" that you can use on your Android device, which functions the same way as the remote. Overall, the interface is the same, and you have access to various applications, videos, movies, TV shows, and more. You can also install and run games on it. It also gives you access to the Prime music library if you have a Prime membership. You can also upload and view photos on the device. The Fire TV Stick works very well, and the load time for videos is minimal. The app list has grown significantly since the first review, with many entertainment apps available.
