Hello, here's Louisa from Timeless Studio. This is a tutorial for those of you who want to learn how to drop sewing patterns on your PC. In this tutorial, we are going to use the software Valentina, which is a free pattern-making software. We'll be using this panty pattern as an example, so you can learn from it. The instructions on how to draft a panty pattern are on my website, Timeless Studio, and there's a link in the description. There's also a link in the description where you can download the Valentina software. Please be aware that English is not my first language. I'll try to speak as clearly as possible, but if there's something you don't understand, just don't hesitate to ask in the comments. Okay, what are we learning today? First, I'll be talking about what Valentina is and how it works. Then, we will practice what we learned before by drafting this basic panty pattern. So, what is Valentina? Valentina is an open-source 2D CAD software for drafting sewing patterns. The lead developer is Roman Televisionscape. I've put together some pros and cons. A big pro is, of course, that it's free. But what makes Valentina really outstanding and different from most other pattern-making software is its innovative and easy grading system. This grading system is really amazing, and I'll tell you more about it later. What's also great is that finished patterns can be exported to CorelDRAW or Inkscape. This is great because in Valentina, there's still limited possibility for pattern manipulation. If you want to rotate pattern pieces or group them apart and put them together in a new way, Valentina is not suitable for this. You should use one of the other programs. But overall, Valentina is an amazing program and there's no risk...
