Hey guys, welcome back to the channel. Today's video is all about the OnePlus 6T, specifically unlocking the bootloader, installing TWRP, and getting root access with Magisk. This is TK and this is XDA TV. Okay, switching over to the PC, the process is pretty simple. First, make sure that Universal ADB and Fastboot are installed. Also, make sure you have backed up your phone. Once you have taken care of these two things, you can proceed to the next set of steps. I will give you guys a link to the article that was posted on the XDA portal, detailing the step-by-step instructions on what we need to do to unlock the bootloader, install TWRP, and root the OnePlus 6T. The process requires a few files, which are detailed in the article. In short, we need the Magisk Manager, the Magisk Uninstaller, and the Magisk binaries. There is a zip file for both the uninstaller and the binaries. The current version is 17.3, but there may be a new version by the time you guys see this video. Additionally, we need to download the image and the zip version of the latest Blue Spark compatible with our OnePlus 6T. This is a customized version of TWRP that will enable us to work with our OnePlus 6T devices. Once you have downloaded all these files, save them in the same folder. If you don't have Universal ADB, copy these files into the ADB folder on your computer. This is the only way that ADB can see these files when we are trying to flash them, either via ADB or Fastboot.
