Instructions and Help about Can Form 8655 Valid

Lab scientists rely on their pipettes every day to deliver accuracy and precision. Your pipette service provider plays a vital role in certifying these critical measurements for your company. Many service providers offer pipette services, but what are the scientific measurement requirements to properly service these complex measurement tools? As a final step of service, a new label is fixed to your pipette. Our label represents a required process of quality service. What calibration process is behind your label? While pipettes are serviced in a variety of ways, scientific measurement principles dictate the proper calibration procedures. The science is known as metrology. While many pipette calibration service providers can be accredited by ISO 17025, guaranteeing that a system is in place, only a few of the highest quality providers invest in the additional level of quality exemplified by the procedures found in ISO 8655. After all, when comparing providers, the actual procedures they use guarantee the quality they promise. Let's see what it takes to properly service the pipettes that our customers count on. Every proper calibration begins by controlling the measurement environment, thereby reducing the uncertainty of the measurement. Correct atmospheric temperature and humidity are generated, monitored, and recorded according to 8655 procedures. Mass measurements are taken on secure and specific balances using the manufacturer's pipette tips, high-grade laboratory tests water, and at a controlled temperature. These measurements are then converted to volumetric measurements using our proprietary software and the metric system. Correct calibration requires the use of several different high-quality stationary balances, only designed for a specific range of pipette volumes. The sensitive equipment, combined with a controlled environment, provides the NIST traceable measurement standard. Inside a controlled environment, these balances are required to be secured on a granite table on a cement slab, never to be moved. Your pipette...
