Well, everyone, welcome to this brief recorded session. We are going to discuss how much easier it will be to be an actual filing agent or reporting agent for your clients. You will no longer need to create or apply for each company file. And when I say "batchy filing," I mean filing Q from multiple company files. You should still file within each company file to e-file. However, just being able to be a reporting agent and having the same five-digit pin for all company files will save you a lot of time. So, where do you go to set that up? In any file that you have, especially if you have enhanced payroll for accountants, you need to go into the employees menu. Open up one of your client's files and go to the payroll center. In the bottom section labeled "File tax forms," under the related form activities, click the drop-down menu and choose "edit filing methods." This will launch the payroll setup wizard, which we added in 2007. Now, click on "filing methods" to ensure you have not selected "print and mail" as the default option. Instead, make sure you have chosen to e-file. It's important to note that there is a new option available: selecting how you want to file the 941-44 filing as an accountant, as a reporting agent on behalf of a client. This is new and different, so make sure to go through this process for each client. Next, go to enrollments, where you will find the instructions. There are two steps: one and two.
