The last few weeks, I talked a lot about SAP careers. I wanted to follow up with another video on the perfect SAP consultant. I wanted to share with you the ten qualities that I think are extremely important in an SAP consultant. So, let's start right away with the first quality that I would look for in every SAP consultant, and that is being self-sufficient. The goal for every consultant I mentored or brought on board is for them to ultimately become self-sufficient. They need to be able to go to a customer and deliver a project on their own, with a little guidance. So, being self-sufficient is crucial. The second quality that closely follows is what I call self-initiative. Great consultants are proactive and take initiative to move things forward. They look for risks in the project and have an eye for when it's necessary to take initiative. On the other hand, there are consultants who wait for instructions. But the great consultants I know take self-initiative. Another important quality of the perfect consultant is domain expertise. Understanding the customer's business processes and speaking the same language as them is crucial when implementing a new project. Acquiring domain knowledge by working on many projects in a certain domain is vital. Functional expertise is also a key component of a perfect SAP consultant. They need to have a deep understanding of how the SAP module works and how to configure it. Knowing the system inside out and understanding how the pieces work together is essential. Technical expertise is another quality to look for in a SAP consultant. This can come from having studied information technology or having a development background. Understanding the technologies, limitations, and what's possible is valuable and sets a consultant up for higher levels in their career. Great SAP consultants are...
